The Licence to Publish has been translated into Danish, Swedish, Norwegian, Finnish and Icelandic. The organisation for the Nordic countries Nordbib was interested in the opportunities offered by this licence to have a piece of work published without taking the copyrights away from the author. The licence to publish offers authors a standard agreement in which the auteur does not hand over the copyright, but grants the publisher the right to publish the work while retaining the rights for the author to use the work for other purposes

15 October 2007 Studylink launched – a Dutch national integrated and personalised enrolment system
Studylink, the national enrolment system for Dutch higher education has started operations as of 7 October 2007. Dutch students can now request enrolment in or (re)register with all higher education institutions using a single web address.
