Knowledge Exchange has previously worked with Access Management and Sustainability.

With Access Management Knowledge Exchange has worked with issues relating to the effective management and access to protected online information and resources.

As a significant issue, relating to the Knowledge Exchange priority to 'facilitate integrated management services', the partners seek to promote collaborative policy development.

From 2006 - 2008 the Sustainability Working Group has been working on creating structures in and between the partner organisations to promote a more sustainable approach to funding information infrastructure.

European Commission is still a focus area. Knowledge Exchange initiated this strand in 2009 to raise awareness of the European Commission for Knowledge Exchange and its achievements and to increase strategic exchanges with relevant EC bodies.
