Institutional Repositories Workshop

A first preparation meeting with experts from the four countries plus a representative from the European Union-funded DRIVER project took place late August 2006 in Copenhagen. At the meeting a workshop “not of talks, but of tasks” was planned. 

The IR workshop on 16-17 January 2007 in Utrecht, focused on achieving progress at a very practical level, with less of a focus on theoretical discussion and a considerable emphasis placed upon issue resolution and developments towards achieving interoperability. The workshop was structured in six sessions:

• research paper metadata
• exchanging information
• author identification
• Open Archives Initiative
• eTheses
