14 February 2007: The first round of this licensing tender is the ’Request for Information’ which was issued on 14 February 2007. During this round, publishers and digital content owners were invited to state what they could offer and suggest the business models that they would use.
23 March 2007: The deadline for response to the Request for Information was 23 March 2007.
16 April 2007: All of the bids received were evaluated and representatives from the four Knowledge Exchange partner organisations met with selected publishers on 16 April 2007 in Warwick, England in the context of the UKSG conference, for further discussion. On the basis of these discussions, ten publishers were selected to continue to the next round of the tender, the Request for Proposals.
