Strategy Working Group

The aim of the strategy working group was to exchange, analyse and compare partner strategies which can lead to uncovering synergies and divergences that stimulate dialogue between policy advisors and senior management of the partner organisations. This can help to identify those issues where partners want to commit to ‘Speak with one voice’ – as such increasing their impact on national and international development. Participants of the working group are experts who are closely involved with the development of strategy within the four Knowledge Exchange partner organisations.

As the exchange on strategy was also taking place in the Strategy Forum it was decided to keep this working group available in case there were specific requests to collaborate on strategy.

  • Development of joint strategy for Knowledge Exchange
  • Preparation of the agenda for the Knowledge Exchange Strategy Forums

The purpose of the Strategy Working Group is to:

  • Support the vision and priorities of the Knowledge Exchange
  • Seek and promote opportunities to harmonise approaches to a joint strategy across the funding organisations
  • Encourage knowledge exchange, where possible reusing the competencies and resources of the partner organisations.

Strategic Analysis
The Knowledge Exchange Strategy Forum November 2008 decided to develope a refined vision and strategy for the Knowledge Exchange initiative. This work has been initiated in the beginning of 2009.

At the beginning of 2007, Knowledge Exchange commissioned a Strategic Analysis Report in order to determine whether, and to what extent, the strategies and corporate plans of the Knowledge Exchange partner organisations align with each other and with the stated vision and priorities of Knowledge Exchange. The analysis describes and compares the direction, ambitions and approaches to the activities of the partners.
